Bizzle the Bumblebee Free Crochet Pattern

I don't know about you, but I've never seen such an adorable bumblebee!

His cute and big smile, his pinky cheeks are giving this little guy the most sweet expression! I'm sure he would just make anyone smile back at him!

Despite the simple shape, the pattern requires a bit of crocheting skills, since the the thoracic band is worked with loop stitches to give a nice texture to the body.

In order to give the loops an even size and shape, the yarn needs to be wrapped over a wooden stick (you can use also a pencil, a crochet hook, a straw, anything that has the size you want your loops to get).

But don’t worry, if you don't feel like trying this new crochet technique, you can simply replace the loop stitch with either half double crochet or double crochet stitches!

Here's the FREE pattern!

Wrap the yarn from front to back over the wooden stick; the length of the loop will depend on how loose or tight you wrap the yarn.

Insert the hook in the 1st stitch of the round, grab the strand of yarn from behind the wooden stick, and draw the yarn through the stitch. The yarn on the stick becomes the loop.

With the yarn loop still on the stick, yarn over the hook and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on your hook.
