super bulky yarn (6) in dark cherry (114S), pumice stone (150AM), evergreen (174L)

G/H 4.5 mm crochet hook

poly filling

Front - with dark cherry and pumice stone

Rnd 1: starting off with dark cherry - (2 sc, 1 ch, 2 sc, 1 ch, 2 sc, 1 ch, 2 sc, 1 ch) in a magic ring (8 sc, 4 chs)

Rnd 2: {2 sc, [(1 sc, 2 ch, 1 sc) in the ch-space]} rep 4 times (16 sc, 4 ch-spaces)

Rnd 3: 3 sc, [(1 sc, 2 ch, 1 sc) in the ch-space], {4 sc, [(1 sc, 2 ch, 1 sc) in the ch-space]} rep 3 times, 1 sc (24 sc, 4 ch-spaces)

Rnd 4: work in back loop - 4 sc, 1 sc into the ch-space, 3 sc, 1 sc inc, 2 sc, 1 sc into the ch-space, 6 sc, 1 sc into the ch-space, 6 sc, 1 sc into the ch-space, 2 sc (29 sc)

Rnds 5 - 8: switch to pumice stone, sc in each st around (29 sc)

Rnd 9: switch to dark cherry - 4 sc, (1 sc and 1 hdc) into next st, [working in front loop, 1 hdc, 5 hdc inc, 1 hdc], work in both loops now (1 hdc and 1 sc) into next st, 16 sc (36 sc)

Rnd 10: 6 sc, 2 hdc inc, 8 hdc, 2 hdc inc, 18 sc (40 sc)

Rnd 11: 8 sc, [working in back loop, 12 sc], work in both loops now 20 sc (40 sc)

Rnds 12 - 13: sc in each st around (40 sc).


Fasten off, cut the yarn and weave in end.




Bottom - with dark cherry

Row 1: Ch 9, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in next 7 chs (8 sc); ch 1 and turn

Row 2: sc even (8 sc); ch 1 and turn

Rows 3 - 12: sc even (8 sc)

 

Fasten off and leave a long strand of yarn to sew the base of the vehicle to rnd #13 of the Truck. Stuff the truck while sewing it close.

 

With same yarn color as Front, embroider vertical straight st lines to separate windshield from side window and back window.

With brown, embroider horizontal straight st lines for door handles.

 


Trailer - dark cherry

Row 1: Ch 8, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in next 6 chs (7 sc); ch 1 and turn

Row 2: sc even (7 sc); ch 1 and turn

Rows 3 - 13: sc even (7 sc)

 

Work in round from now on.

Rnd 14: working in back loop only, sc even around the panel.

Rnds 15 - 17: sc even (7)

Rnd 18: sl st in each st around.

 

Fasten off and leave a long strand of yarn to sew one short side to the back of the truck.




Tires - pumice stone and dark cherry - make four

Rnd 1: starting off with pumice stone – 7 sc in magic ring (7 sc)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in next 3 sts, switch to dark cherry, 2 sc in next 4 sts (14 sc); ch 1 and turn

Rnd 3: sl st in next 8 sts (8 sc)

 

Fasten off and leave a long strand of yarn. Place the tire against the side of the car where you want it to be attached. Make sure the lower part of the tire (the section that would touch the ground) remains free.

Start sewing the upper half of the tire to the side of the car.

After sewing the upper portion, make sure the tire is securely attached, but the lower part remains un-sewn.


With pumice stone, embroider horizontal straight st lines for front lights.
