I've always loved how delicate and precious cotton flowers are, and how they can become a lovely piece of decor for the house.
I have a beautiful wreath made of dried cotton flowers that I often add in background as a photo prop when taking pictures of my amigurumis.
...so why not making this adorable decoration the center piece of my photo this time?

Here's the FREE pattern!
YARN - medium (4) in white and brown
MATERIALS - 4.25 mm and 2.5 mm crochet hooks; yarn needle
DIMENSIONS - 2.5” x 2.5” x 1” (5 x 5 x 2.5 cm)
ABBREVIATIONS -magic ring (mr), chain (ch), stitch (st), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), bobble stitch (bo), fasten off (F/O)

Cotton Flower (white yarn - 4.25 mm hook)
Rnd 1: in a mr work 2 ch, 1 bo, 1 sl st, 2 ch, 1 bo, 1 sl st, 2 ch, 1 bo, 1 sl st, 2 ch, 1 bo, 1 sl st (4 bo, 4 sl st); F/O and leave a long strand of yarn

Bract (brown yarn - 2.5 mm hook)
Rnd 1: 8 sc in a mr (8)
Row 2: (7 ch, 1 sl st into the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc into the next ch, 1 hdc into the next one, 1 dc into the 4th, 1 hdc into the 5th, and 1 sc into the last ch, 1 sl st into the next st of the round) rep 4 times
F/O and leave a long strand of yarn.

Assembling Instructions
With a yarn needle, insert the white strand of yarn of the cotton flower into the center ring of the bract and make a knot. Use the extra strands of brown yarn to attach the flower to the branch (make few knots to secure the flower in place).
