Summertime here in Michigan has finally started and all I feel like doing is enjoying the sun on my deck while sipping a cold drink and working on a colorful crochet project!
I bet I'm not the only one!
Usually, I cannot wait for the first days of nice weather to arrive to finally spruce up my deck! I love giving my outdoor space a fresh and vibrant look by adding beautiful flowers and plants, decorating the furniture with colorful pillows...anything that can brighten up my favorite "room" for the most awaited season of the year!
The free pattern for this week is thought to bring an extra splash of color and fun to your outside table: 4 cute FRUIT CROCHET COASTERS!

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner
YARN: Medium Weight Cotton Yarn (Lace 4) in Dark Yellow, Light Yellow, Hot Pink, Dark Green, Light Green, Brown, White and Black
HOOK SIZES: E/3,50 mm
STITCHES USED and ABBREVIATIONS: magic ring (mr), chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), increase (inc), fasten off (F/O).
INSTRUCTIONS: work in continuous rounds.

WATERMELON COASTER (hot pink, white, light green and black yarn)
1) start working with hot pink yarn, 6 sc in a mr (6)
2) sc inc around (12)
3) *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (18)
4) *2 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (24)
5) *3 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (30)
6) *4 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (36)
7) *5 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (42)
8) switch to white yarn, *6 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (48)
9) switch to light green yarn, sc even (48)

Embroider the watermelon seeds with some scrap black yarn.
LIME COASTER (light and dark green, and white yarn)
