Lily the Owl Free Crochet Pattern

Updated: Aug 19, 2021

A sweet shade of pink deserves a sweet project...so here it comes Lily the Owl!

I have been thinking of designing an amigurumi owl for a while now and when I found this beautiful pink yarn (Wool Ease from Lion Brand) I immediately though it would work perfectly to create a lovely bird!

After so many amigurumi made with light cotton or bamboo yarn, it felt nice work with a thicker yarn and a bigger hook!

Today's project is easy enough for still been suitable for beginners - changing color seamlessly and working in front and back loops are the only techniques you are required to know.

If you have any doubts about the pattern and feel like you need visual help, don't forget that I also offer a digital version of the pattern that contains charts and pictures!

It's time now to have some fun...grab your hook and yarn and crochet this sweet bird!

there's no way for this pattern to end up with the white eye patch centered with the ears! it's always going to pull 3-5 stitches to the left (looking at it from the front) because the stitch count is uneven on either side of the white patch.
