Six cute macarons and a fun coffee cup!

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner
YARN:
Macarons: Medium Weight Cotton Yarn (Lace 4) in
· colors A: Pink, Purple, Aqua, Blue, Yellow, Rust
· color B: White
Cup: Medium Weight Cotton Yarn (Lace 4) in Yellow, White, Aqua and Light Brown
OTHER MATERIALS: Polyester Fiber Filling
HOOK SIZES: E/3,25 mm
STITCHES USED and ABBREVIATIONS: magic ring (mr), chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), back loop only (BLO), front loop only (FLO), decrease (dec), increase (inc), fasten off (F/O).
INSTRUCTIONS: work in rounds (join with a sl st and ch1 at the end of each row) otherwise instructed.

MACARON TOP AND FILLING (color A and color B yarn)
1) start working with your choice of A color yarn, 8 sc in a mr (8)
2) inc around (16)
3) *1 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (24)
4) *2 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (32)
5) *3 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (40)
6-7) sc even (40)
8) turn and crochet facing the inside of the work, 40 sc in the FLO (40)
9) switch to white yarn, turn and face the outside of the work again, crocheting in BLO, 40 sc (40)
10) working in both loops now, sc even (40); F/O and leave a long tail of white yarn for attaching the macaroon top to the bottom part.
MACARON BOTTOM (color A yarn)
1) 8 sc in a mr (8)
2) inc around (16)
3) *1 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (24)
4) *2 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (32)
5) *3 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (40)
6-7) sc even (40)
8) turn and crochet facing the inside of the work, 40 sc in the FLO (40); F/O and cut the yarn.
Using white yarn, insert the needle through the back loop of the 1st sc of round #8 of the bottom part and then through both layers of the 1st sc of round 10 of the white filling (as shown in the picture). Fill the macaroon as you sew the two parts together.
CUP (yellow, white and aqua yarn)
1) start working with yellow, 8 sc in a mr (8)
2) inc around (16)
3) *1 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (24)
4) *2 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (32)
5) *3 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (40); do not ch1
6) sl st even (40); turn
7) sc even (40)
8) switch to white yarn, *4 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (48)
9) switch back to yellow yarn, sc even (48)
10) switch to white yarn, sc even (48)
11) switch to aqua yarn, *5 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (56)
12) sc even (56)
13) switch back to white yarn, sc even (56)
14) switch to yellow yarn, *5 sc, 1 dec*, repeat ** around (48)
15) sc even (48)
16) switch to white yarn (48)
17) switch to aqua yarn, working in FLO, sc even (48)
18) switch back to white, working in both loops now sc even (48)
19) switch to yellow yarn, sc even (48); do not ch1
20) sl st even (48); F/O and hide the yarn.
COFFEE TOP (light brown yarn)
1) 8 sc in a mr (8)
2) inc around (16)
3) *1 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (24)
4) *2 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (32)
5) *3 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (40)
6) *4 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (48); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn to sew the piece to the inside of the cup.
Insert the yarn needle through the BLO of any one st of round #17 of the cup and start attaching the two parts together; stuff the cup as you go.
CUP HANDLE (yellow yarn)
1) 6 sc in a mr (6)
2-13) sc even (6)
14) sc dec around (3); F/O and leave a long tail to attach the handle to the cup, between rounds # 7-16. Do not stuff the handle.
