Pumpkin Head
With A.
Row 1: Ch 21, 1 sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in next 3 chs, 1 hdc in next 3 chs, 1 dc in next 6 chs, 1 hdc in next 3 chs, 1 sc in next 3 chs, 1 sl st in last ch – 20 sts; turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, working in both loops,1 sl st in 1st st, working in back loop only, 1 sc in next 3 sts, 1 hdc in next 3 sts, 1 dc in next 6 sts, 1 hdc in next 3 sts, 1 sc in next 3 sts; working in both loops, 1 sl st in last st h – 20 sts; turn.
Rows 3 - 28: rep Row 2 –20 sts.
Fasten off, leaving a long strand of yarn.
Sew the short sides together. Do not fasten off.
Using the tail of yarn, pull through the side stitches of one open end and pull tight, weaving in the ends. Fasten off.
Leave the other side of the Pumpkin Head open.
Insert safety eyes 5 rows apart.
Stuff the pumpkin head.
Arms (make two)
With B make a magic ring.
Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in ring.
Rnds 2 - 9: 1 sc in each st around – 8 sc.
Rnd 10: (sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog) rep twice – 6 sc.
Fasten off, cut the yarn and weave in end.
Stuff the Arm lightly.
Legs & Body
Leg I
With B make a magic ring.
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in ring.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around – 10 sc.
Rnds 3 - 10: 1 sc in each st around – 10 sc.
Fasten off, cut the yarn and weave in end. Stuff the Leg.
Leg II
With B make a magic ring.
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in ring.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around – 10 sc.
Rnds 3 - 10: 1 sc in each st around – 10 sc.
Do not fasten off. Stuff the Leg.
Join Legs
With B
Rnd 11: Ch 2 (for space between legs), insert hook in st #1 of Leg I and draw up a loop, ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 9 sts; working in chains between legs, 1 hdc in next 2 chs; working in sts of Leg II, sc in first st following chain between legs, sc in next 9 sts; working in chains between legs, 1 hdc in next 2 chs – 24 sts.
Do not fasten off.
Body
Rnds 12 - 17: sc in each st around – 24 sc.
Rnd 18: (sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog) rep around – 20 sts.
Rnds 19 - 20: sc in each st around – 20 sc.
Rnd 21: (sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog) rep around – 16 sts.
Place st markers at sts # 6 and # 14 of this last rnd.
Continue stuffing until piece is complete.
Join Arms
With B
Rnd 22: Sc in next 5 sts; insert your hook in anyone st of last rnd of Arm I, 1 sc in each st around; 1 sc in st #6 of the last rnd of the body, 1 sc in next 7 sts; insert your hook in anyone st of last rnd of Arm II, 1 sc in each st around; 1 sc in st #14 of the last rnd of the body, 1 sc in next 2 sts – 28 sts.
Rnd 23: Sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 6 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts – 24 sts.
Rnd 24: (sc in next 1 st, sc2tog) rep around – 16 sts.
Fasten off, leaving a long strand for sewing the Body to the Head.
Pumpkin Stem
With C make a magic ring.
Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in ring.
Rnd 2: working in back loop only, (sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog) rep twice – 6 sc.
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, sc2tog) rep twice – 4 sc.
Rnd 4: sc in each st around – 4 sc.
Rnd 5: working in front loop only, 3 sc in each st around – 12 sc.
Rnd 6: working in front loop only, 3 sc in each st around – 36 sc.
Fasten off and leave a strand to sew back loop of Rnd 5 to Head.
Overalls
Leg I
With C.
Rnd 1: Ch 17, join last and 1st chs with sl st, ch 1 and sc in same st, sc in each st around – 17 sc.
Rnds 2 - 3: Sc in each st around – 7 sc. Fasten off, cut the yarn and weave in end.
Leg II
With C.
Rnd 1: Ch 17, join last ch and 1 ch with sl st, ch 1 and sc in same st, sc in each st around – 17 sc.
Rnds 2 - 3: Sc in each st around – 7 sc. Do not fasten off.
Join Legs
With C
Rnd 4: Ch 2 (for crutch space), insert hook in st #1 of Leg I and draw up a loop, ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 16 sts; working in chains between legs, 1 hdc in next 2 chs; working in sts of Leg II, sc in first st following chain between legs, sc in next 16 sts; working in chains between legs, 1 hdc in next 2 chs – 38 sts.
Rnds 5: (sc in next 17 sts, sc2tog) rep twice– 36 sc.
Rnd 6: (sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog) rep around – 30 sts.

Front Bib
With C
Row 1: insert your hook into st #8 of Rnd 11 of the Overalls, sc into the same st, sc in next 7 st – 8 sc; turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts – 7 sc; turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st along – 7 sc; turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts – 6 sc; turn.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each st along – 6 sc.
Fasten off leaving a long strand of yarn to create the Overalls straps.
Embroider sewing marks with white thread.
Put Overalls on Pumpkin Man.
Thread the yarn into the embroidery needle.
Bring the yarn over the doll’s shoulder to the back left side.
Once you reach the back left side, secure the strap in place by tying a small knot with the yarn to the last Rnd.
Weave the yarn inside the overalls to the Back right side, tie a small knot.
Bring the yarn over the doll’s left shoulder to the corner of the bib, tie a knot, fasten off and weave in end.
Embroider the smile with black thread on the Pumpkin Head.
