Head & Body

With A make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in ring.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around – 12 sc.

Rnd 3: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) rep around – 18 sc.

Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep around – 24 sc.

Rnd 5: (sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep around – 30 sc.

Rnd 6: 1 sc in each st around – 30 sc.

Rnd 7: (sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep around – 36 sc.

Rnds 8 - 10: 1 sc in each st around – 36 sc.

Rnd 11: (sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog) rep around – 30 sc.

Rnd 12: (sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog) rep around – 24 sc.

Insert safety eyes between Rnds 8 and 9, approximately 8 sts apart.

Rnd 13: (sc in next st, sc2tog) rep around – 16 sc.

Rnd 14: (sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog) rep around – 12 sc.

Rnd 15: working in front loop only, 1 sc in each st around – 12 sc.

Rnds 16 - 18: working in both loops now, 1 sc in each st around – 12 sc.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through top of sts of last rnd. Pull tail to close opening and knot securely.

Beak

With B make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in ring.

Rnd 2: sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st – 6 sc.

Rnd 3: sc in each st around – 6 sc.

Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep twice – 8 sc.

Fasten off, cut the yarn leaving a long tail to sew Beak

to Head between Rnds 8 and 11.

Snood

With C.

Row 1: Ch 8, 3 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sl st in next 6 chs – 9 sts.

Fasten off, cut the yarn leaving a strand to sew the Snood onto the Beak.

Tail

With A make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in ring.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in last st – 10 sc.

Rnd 3: 2 sc in next 2 sts, 1 sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next 2 sts – 14 sc.

Rnd 4: 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in next 12 sts, 2 sc in last st – 16 sc.

Rnd 5: 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in next 14 sts, 2 sc in last st – 18 sc.

Fasten off and leave a strand to sew Tail to back of Body between Rnds 26 and 32.

Stuff while sewing. Place the short side up.

Feathers (2 with B, 3 with c, 2 with D)

Rnd 1: Ch 11, 1 sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sl st in next 2 chs, 1 sc in next 4 chs, 1 hdc in next 2 chs, 5 hdc in next ch; keep working on the opposite side of the foundation chain, 1 hdc in next 2 chs, 1 sc in next 4 chs, 1 sl st in next 3 chs.

Fasten off, cut the yarn leaving a long strand to sew the Feathers to the tip of the Tail.

Wings (make two)

With A make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in ring.

Rnd 2: (sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep twice – 8 sc.

Rnd 3: (sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep twice – 10 sc.

Rnd 4: (sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep twice – 12 sc.

Rnd 5: (sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep twice – 14 sc.

Rnd 6: (sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep twice – 16 sc.

Rnd 7: sc in each st around – 16 sc.

Rnd 8: sc2tog, sc in next 12 sts, sc2tog – 14 sc.

Rnd 9: sc2tog, sc in next 10 sts, sc2tog – 12 sc.

Rnd 10: sc2tog, sc in next 8 sts, sc2tog – 10 sc.

Rnd 11: sc2tog, sc in next 6 sts, sc2tog – 8 sc.

Fasten off, cut the yarn leaving a strand of yarn to sew the Wing to the side of the Body between Rnds 21 and 26. Do not stuff the Wing. Put it in place so that the rounded side is toward the front of the Body.

Comb

With C.

Row 1: Ch 4, (1 hdc, 1 ch, 1 sl st) in the 2nd ch from the hook, ch 1, (1 hdc, 1 ch, 1 sl st) in the 2nd ch from the hook, ch 1, (1 hdc, 1 ch, 1 sl st) in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sl st in next 2 chs.

Fasten off, cut the yarn leaving a strand to attach the Comb to the top of the Head.
