The crystals are inlaid into the band and the display, so they link don’t overwhelm the watch. They don’t constantly catch the light like a disco ball, link and in fact, if the watch weren’t so damn heavy I could almost forget that they're there. All in link all, it is more dull than expected, but in a good way.

On the wrist, the slightly upsized casing link (a link fair enough exchange for the new movement) still fits incredibly well on a variety of wrists, given the short lugs. Grand Seiko pairs these with black crocodile straps, but I think these watches scream for a beautiful casual calfskin strap. If the annual limited link edition releases with a color change on the dial aren't your speed, perhaps this is.
